Some is "reciprocal linking" -- we post an ad or banner for someone who does the same for us. (This is common practice for making one's website better-known.) There are also items that are just there because we think they're of excellent quality or are very unique. The Cat's Meow ezine contains links to the subscription services of the sources of our reprints, and/or to the author of the article; we do this for copyright reasons (and as a 'thank you' for letting us publish the articles).
